The Baltic dry bulk freight index rose for the sixth consecutive week due to higher freight rates for various types of ships.

The Baltic dry bulk index rose 55 points, or 1.7%, to 3344 points, up 7.7% this week.

The Capesize Index rose 141 points, or 3.2%, to 4526 points, up 14.7% this week. The average daily profit of Capesize ships rose by $1170 to $37538.

Panamax freight index rose 12 points, or 0.4%, to 3382 points, up 3% this week. Panamax’s average daily profit increased by $114 to $30440.

The super convenient bulk carrier freight index rose 16 points to 2816 points.
