On May 27th, the China ASEAN Publishing and Printing Exchange and Cooperation Forum was successfully held in Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia. This forum is an important part of the 40th Kuala Lumpur International Book Fair’s China Guest of Honor event, with the theme of “High quality development of the printing industry and international exchange and cooperation”. It aims to strengthen exchanges, mutual learning, and open cooperation between China and the ASEAN publishing and printing industry. Comrade in charge of the Central Propaganda Department and Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture of Malaysia attended the forum and delivered a speech.

This forum focused on introducing the current situation and vision of high-quality development in China’s printing industry, elaborating on the development trend of empowering China’s printing intelligent manufacturing with digitization, and expressing the desire and confidence to strengthen international exchange and cooperation based on the China Pearl River Delta printing industry’s open connection platform. Representatives from participating ASEAN countries introduced the development trend and industrial characteristics of their printing industry, and conducted in-depth exchanges and discussions on exploring cooperation potential and expanding cooperation areas. China Guangdong Printing and Reproduction Industry Association, Malaysia Printing Association, Singapore Printing and Media Association and Thailand Printing Association have reached a four party friendly cooperation framework agreement, and several printing enterprises in China and Malaysia have signed strategic cooperation agreements around investment cooperation, market development and technical support.
