On May 28th, Mr. Hoang Trung Son, the new chairman of the Vietnam Pulp and Paper Association, and his delegation visited Beijing. Zhao Wei, the chairman of the China Paper Association, and Qian Yi, the vice chairman and secretary-general, met and exchanged ideas with the Vietnam Paper Association in Beijing.

Chairman Zhao Wei welcomed the arrival of Vietnamese industry colleagues and congratulated Mr. Huang Zhongshan on his election as Chairman and Mr. Dang Van Son on his election as Vice Chairman. Both sides exchanged opinions on issues such as industry status, raw materials, and association management. Mr. Huang stated that in recent years, the Vietnamese papermaking industry has developed rapidly and faced many opportunities, but there are also many shortcomings and limitations. This trip to China has highly praised the technical level of Chinese papermaking equipment and hopes to have more opportunities to cooperate with Chinese enterprises. Chairman Zhao Wei pointed out that Vietnam’s rapid economic development has greatly promoted the development of the Vietnamese paper industry. Vietnam is an important source of imported wood chips from China. In the future, we hope that both sides can leverage their respective strengths, complement each other’s weaknesses, and cooperate for mutual benefit to jointly promote the sustainable development of the paper industry.
