Prince Holdings, Japan Paper, United Paper, Dawang Paper, North Vietnam Paper and other five major Japanese paper enterprises have recently released the performance statistics of the first fiscal quarter (April June) of fiscal year 2022-2023. The data shows that, thanks to the rebound in market demand and the rise in product prices, the sales of all the five major paper enterprises increased year on year in the quarter. The operating profit increased year on year except for Japanese paper. In terms of net profit, Japanese paper making still suffered from losses, while other enterprises decreased to some extent, with Prince Holding alone, achieving double-digit growth in net profit.
