On August 15, the American forest and Paper Association (AF & PA) released the monthly report on printing and writing paper in July. The report showed that the delivery of printing and writing paper in the United States in July was relatively stable, with a year-on-year decrease of 1% compared with the total delivery in July last year, a year-on-year increase of 3% in domestic procurement, and a month on month increase of 2% in inventory level.
Among them, the trading volume of uncoated chemical pulp paper (UFS) decreased by 1% year-on-year, the inventory increased by 5%, the import volume increased by 8%, and the export volume decreased by 25%.
The domestic procurement of coated chemical pulp paper (CFS) increased by 2% year-on-year, and the inventory decreased by 1% month on month. Imports increased by 32% and exports by 6% year-on-year.
The trading volume of coated mechanical pulp paper (CM) decreased by 18% year-on-year, with a large decline. Compared with the same period last year, the decline was more serious, and the inventory increased by 2% month on month. The import and export volume changed most obviously, with imports increasing by 48% month on month and exports declining by 41%.
The domestic procurement of uncoated mechanical pulp paper (UM) increased by 16% year-on-year, with a large increase, while the inventory fell by 13% month on month. Imports increased by 9% month on month, while exports fell by 10%.
