According to foreign media reports, in 2020, about 6000 to 7000 companies were active in the Polish packaging market, with a turnover of about 44.6 billion zloty (about 9.7 billion euros), and a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 7.6% from 2010 to 2020.
In its latest market report on the Polish packaging industry, bank pekao found that by industry, the highest proportion of delivery was paper and cardboard (40%) and plastics (37%), followed by metal (13%), glass and wood (5% each). Paper and paperboard packaging grew the fastest from 2010 to 2020, with an average annual compound growth rate of 9%, and the average growth of materials such as plastic, glass and wood was 7-8%. During the analysis period, the delivery of metal packaging also increased by an average of 5%.
According to analysts of Bago bank, Poland is particularly attractive to domestic and foreign investors active in the packaging market because of the large number of newly established packaging companies in the country. From 2010 to 2018, about 885 start-ups emerged in the Polish packaging industry.
