With a market value of 425 billion US dollars, innovation drives a new breakthrough in the fiber packaging market

With the improvement of the concept of sustainable development of consumers, fiber packaging such as corrugated cardboard, folding carton, pulp molding and special packaging paper has attracted new attention of packaging buyers. Relevant data show that the total value of fiber packaging market reached 425.4 billion dollars in 2022, and innovation is driving the market to achieve new breakthroughs.

According to a study by Smithers, a market analysis agency, “The Future of Fiber Packaging in 2027″, the global demand for fiber packaging is likely to reach 503.4 billion US dollars by 2027, with a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 3.4%. At the same time, the total output of fiber packaging will increase from 264.4 million tons (2022) to 316.3 million tons (2027), with a CAGR of 3.7%.

At present, many world-renowned retailers and major FMCG companies have signed letters of commitment to improve the sustainability of the packaging mix used. Fiber packaging products such as paperboard are more easily accepted by consumers because of their renewable properties. Most European and American countries have introduced relevant policies to eliminate the use of disposable plastics.
